Potassium citrate supplement is recommended for the treatment or prevention of hypokalemia (potassium depletion) which does not result from dietary deficiency and to help reduce kidney stone formation. Ingredients
Medicinal Ingredients: Each Tablet: Potassium Citrate 1080mg (Equivalent to 10 mEq K+). Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Triacetin, Hypromellose, Microcrystalline Cellouse, Povidone, Silicon Dioxide, Stearic Acid.
Dosage
Prevention: 2-4 tablets daily in 2-4 divided doses. Treatment: 4-6 tablets daily in 2-4 divided doses. Take with meals and swallow tablets with a full glass of water to lessen possible stomach upset or laxative action. Do not take on an empty stomach. It is available in both solution and tablet formats to fit your needs.
Cautions and Warnings
To be taken only on the advice of a physician and only when adequate dietary supplementation is not practical. Discontinue if abdominal pain, distention, nausea, vomiting or gastrointestinal bleeding occur.
