N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine, or N-A-C, is an acetylated form of the amino acid cysteine. Cysteine is the most important precursor to glutathione (GSH), the most critical antioxidant produced in the body. It has been used for over 30 years for respiratory health, providing relief to those suffering from chronic respiratory conditions such as chronic bronchitis.

Ingredients

Medicinal Ingredients: Serving Size: One Capsule: N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine 500 mg.

Non-medicinal Ingredients: sodium stearyl fumarate, microcrystalline cellulose Capsule: hypromellose.

Dosage

Adults (18 year and over) Take 1 capsule per day with a meal containing protein or as directed by a qualified health care practitioner. Do not open capsules, as this may compromise the stability of the medicinal ingredients. Do not exceed daily dose unless instructed by a healthcare practitioner.

Cautions and Warnings

Do not use with charcoal. Consult a health care practitioner before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you are taking nitroglycerin or antibiotics. Consult a health care practitioner if you suffer from cystinuria/cysteine kidney stones or symptoms persist or worsen, or for use beyond 6 months.
